According to Xiao, it’s quite rare for the Indian media to release “smoke bombs” as they are extremely optimistic or even fanatical, so the news released by NDTV should be true, and it means that the Indian army has retreated from the previously capture highland on the line of actual control between China and India, in face of China’s strong military pressure, especially the strong statement made by the Chinese Defense Minister in the Moscow talks, like “China’s territory cannot be lost even an inch.”
Xiao also thinks that it was sensible for India to retreat, because five hundred soldiers up such terrain would be living targets of the Chinese army.
