Despite the fact that Kashmir has made Pakistan suffer, it does not affect its recent joint training with China. According to China Air Force’s WeChat account, the joint training of the Chinese Air Force and Pakistan Air Force recently began in northwestern China. This is the eighth time that China-Pakistan Air Forces have held the “Eagle” series of joint training.
It is reported that the joint training of China and Pakistan will adopt a back-to-back system confrontation throughout the whole process, highlighting research on system operations, operational command, and difficult problems, strengthening mutual learning and mutual learning between the two armies, and effectively improving the actual combat level and air system strength of both air forces.
It should be noted that this joint training is an annual routine training, but it still has multiple highlights. Du Wenlong, a military commentator, said that the military lineup of the Chinese and Pakistani armed forces for this training are very complete. This is of great significance to the development of the two forces, and it also increases the communication between weapons and equipment. In this joint training, one Chinese fighter made its debut.
According to reports, the Pakistan Air Force sent multi-type aircrafts such as JF-17 fighter, Mirage and early warning aircraft to participate in the training, while the Chinese Air Force sent multi-type aircrafts such as J-10C, J-16, JH-7A and early warning aircraft. From the point of view of the lineup, both sides have sent their most typical equipment. This can also better perform the most real actions. Among them, China’s J-16 fighters are open to foreign pilots for the first time.
J-16 is also the most advanced model that China air force has unveiled to a foreign force. At present, it is also known as Chinese Air Force Three Musketeers together with J-20 and J-10C. Therefore, when J-16 appeared, Pakistanis were most complimentary.
First of all, the J-16 fighter was developed on the basis of J-11, its design life exceeds 6,000 hours, which has reached the standards of Western countries. At the same time, we can also learn from the news on the Internet that J-16 seems to use China’s WS-10 series improved engine, of which the maximum bomb capacity reaches 12 tons, and the combat power is superior.
Besides, according to J-16’s light-colored airborne radome, it may be equipped with a new generation of airborne radar. In addition, it is not equipped with a traditional nose airspeed tube, so the new generation of airborne radar may be an airborne active phased array radar, and its detection range, accuracy, and anti-interference ability are far stronger than similar fighters.
This is why the Pakistani side seemed coveted seeing it. According to Chinese military expert Zhi Zhong, If Pakistan has this fighter, the Pakistani Air Force could easily beat Indian Air Force in future air battles. But unfortunately, J-16 is still not for sale, and it is more practical to go to Chengdu to push JF-17 block 3 fighter.
Although the Chinese Air Force stressed that the “Eagle-VIII” drill is not aimed at third parties, but the time of its opening is subtle, after all, the previous “Eagle” exercises were either held between March and May, or between September and October. And the exercise this time was also very different in scale.
