On November 25, China’s CCTV “National Defense Military Morning” program focused on the year-end assessment of a Special Operations Brigade under China’s 71st Group Army, in which the brigade changed to star camouflage and next-generation individual combat equipment.
It is reported that the starry sky camouflage and the new generation of individual combat systems that debuted in this year’s Chinese National Day parade are being distributed to various PLA units.
The video shows the special combat brigade under the 71st Group Army was being evaluated in the subject of mountain pursuit and clearing. The training also showed the next generation of single-unit combat equipment of the Chinese army, including a Type 95-1 automatic rifle with a QMK171 scope, a Shaanxi Automobile HMV3 tactical truck, and a high-cut helmet with noise-reduction headphones, which is different from the helmet used by the Chinese special forces in a drill in 2015.
In addition, a QLU-131 grenade launcher was also used in the operation.
The Chinese PLA forces are currently organizing annual military training examinations, which serve as a detector of training quality and a converter from the playground to the battlefield, and the only criterion for annual military examinations is aligning to actual combats.
