Today, the Eastern Theater Command launched the “Joint Sword 2024A” exercise around Taiwan Island. This exercise focuses on training subjects such as “joint air-sea combat readiness patrols”, “joint seizure of comprehensive battlefield control”, and “joint precision strikes on key targets”.
“Ships and aircraft are conducting combat patrols near Taiwan Island, with coordinated operations inside and outside the island chain, testing the joint combat capabilities of the theater forces in real combat scenarios.”
