In a recent propaganda video for the Chinese Navy, the Chinese Navy’s Special Forces Jiaolong Commando uses the new QBZ-191 assault rifle, with a “QMK152 improved squad firearm white light sight” installed above and a laser irradiation device used in exercises below the muzzle. It is reported that QMK-152 series sights (including QMK-171) should use BAC (Bindon Aiming Concept) automatic zoom function, but this has not been officially confirmed.
More importantly, the new QBZ-191 rifle far exceeds the previous Chinese gun family in terms of life, accuracy and reliability.
According to a recent article on the official WeChat account of China Armament Equipment Group, “The new rifle has made major breakthroughs in various key technologies, including significantly improved accuracy, several times greater reliability, and a substantial increase in barrel life. In addition, the new rifle has completely solved the problem of unstable accuracy under extreme firing conditions, pushing the level of research and development of China’s rifle system to a new level.”
