A synthetic regiment of the Southern Xinjiang Military Region of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army focused on training and preparing for war, and assigned female soldiers to combat positions. In the latest report, the Chinese military introduced the recent developments of the women’s tank squad of the Southern Xinjiang Military Region.
Liu Shushan, the “most beautiful female tank soldier” of the People’s Liberation Army, returned to the barracks and came to the female tank squad of a synthetic regiment in the Southern Xinjiang Military Region, according to a report on August 1st by the Chinese state media CCTV Military Channel.
Liu Shushan was one of the first female Type 99A tankers of the Chinese Army. The Chinese state media “People’s Daily” previously revealed that she retired in March this year.
In the report, Liu Shushan introduced the training dynamics of the women’s tank squad of the Southern Xinjiang Military Region. In the pictures, female soldiers of the People’s Liberation Army drove tanks in the sand.
The South Xinjiang Military Region of the People’s Liberation Army established its first women’s tank squad not long ago. WeChat public account of the Southern Xinjiang Military Region reported on July 6 that since the restructuring and refurbishment, a synthetic regiment of the Southern Military Region has focused on training and preparedness with a clear orientation, breaking the common practice of female soldiers engaging in support positions such as communications and health, and assigning female soldiers to combat positions, and the first female tank squad was established.
According to reports, these female soldiers have witnessed their growth from exquisite makeup to dusty faces, from flowing long hair to lean and neat short hair.
However, there are different voices from the outside world regarding the combat effectiveness of the women’s tank squad. Among the praises of “women are no inferior to men”, many people also questioned whether female soldiers can really go to war.
However, it is worth noting that the Chinese military has gradually increased reports on the daily training of female soldiers in recent years. The number of female soldiers recruited by the PLA seems to have increased more than before. With the continuous changes in modern combat methods, the PLA is also constantly adjusting its military structure.
