China’s Western Theater equips J-16 to handle India’s Rafale fighters

According to China’s Western Theater Air Force’s WeChat public account, a certain unit of the Western Theater Air Force recently used J-16 fighters to carry out confrontation air combat training.

The account revealed that the unit is amid a changeover period, the rear cabin instructor led the front cabin trainees to carry out free air combat training.

From the light gray radome of the fighter jets in the photo, it’s inferred that the Chinese air force unit has received a new batch of J-16 fighters, which analysts believe is in response to India’s Dassault Rafale fighters across the line of actual control.
