The new rifle with buttstock at China’s National Day military parade is probably the “new rifle system” developed by the Armored Equipment Group No. 208 institute since 2016.
This new gun has a supportive layout and modular design, which has the advantages of high power, high reliability and versatility.
According to reports, since the startup of this project in 2016, the goal was to develop a world-class rifle and to participate in the National Day military parade in 2019.
And it’s reported that the new-generation assault rifle will be used to replace QBZ-95 gun family, and has adopted a series of new technologies, new materials and new techniques.
The project of the new gun has undergone three stages of comparison test of sample guns, with more than 270 sample guns made and over 2.4 million ammunition consumed. In other words, the performance of the new gun will be better than QBZ-95 gun series, reaching world-class technology.
