Liu Renyuan, Taiwan’s air force chief of staff said in its legislature yesterday, that its newly purchased F-16V fighters have better stealth performance for those in the current service.
According to Liu, the “mode simulation” based on aircraft performance weapon ammunitions showed that Taiwan’s air force has better capabilities than J-10, J-11, Su-30 and Su-35 fighters of mainland China: “we are above them”. And in respect of J-20 fighters, both sides would be equal. The invisibility of the J-20 could be better, but its actual data is still unknown. Besides, Taiwan is striving for “integrated combat”, with E-2K early warning aircraft in the system, so “we definitely knock them out” in case of one-on-one.
Taiwan’s defense chief Yan Defa said that there is no problem with F-16’s coping with J-20. In response to the replacement of fighters in the future, Taiwan’s defense ministry has submitted a plan for the renewal of service bonus to its administrative ministry, hoping to shorten the salary gap between force pilots and private pilots.
