J-11BS pilot takes a selfie over an island

Recently, a Chinese air force pilot took a selfie and attracted attention. In the picture, the dual-engine heavy fighter was flying over an island airport, and the picture is extremely impactful.

According to the relevant pictures and deeds, this is a video of an aviation brigade in the northern theater at the island airport.

The twin-engine heavy fighter flew over the island airport and judging from PL-8 missile on the wing tip, this is certainly a J-11BS fighter.

This picture shows that the J-11BS is not a simple two-seat sniper trainer only used to perform the J-11B model training task.

In fact, J-11 fighters are equipped with airborne fire control, vitrified cockpit, data link and other aeronautical systems. The airborne weapons include PL-12 active radar guided air-to-air missiles and PL-8 combat air-to-air missiles, as well as precision guided bombs for combat missions.

And as J-11BS owns two seats, the rear seat faculty can be replaced with a weapon controller when necessary, allowing the aircraft to act as a formation commander and a remote ground attack aircraft.
